Don't just sell a sub or sandwich - do the whole lunch
People today want convenience... so don't go the route of selling subs or sandwiches, several organizaitons that I know do the entire lunch and they do pretty well.

One group does a Turkey Trot in the beginning on November, several weeks before thanksgiving. In our area we have soft pretzel rolls and they sell one type of lunch so it is simple too.

They sell a Turkey/Cheese sandwich on a pretzel roll with an apple, chips, and a cookie for $7. They make a great profit because they have a local orchard donate the apples and a local baker donate the cookie. They deliver orders of 6 or more lunches and the make over $15K on this one fundraiser.

Another group I know does something similar only they do it in the spring and they sell more varieties, like italian subs, turkey subs, ham & cheese sandwiches, etc.

The reason it is great is that most people are buying lunch anyway and this saves them time and when you have items donated for the lunch you can make 80 to 90 percent profit.
