Event Description:
Join us for a cooking demonstration and tasting dinner celebrating Mexico's Dia de Reyes (Wise Men Day).
The traditional foods of the holiday are various kinds of tamales(the quintessential party food!), Rosca de Reyes(a soft and sweet bread covered with candied fruits and sugar) and Mexican Hot Chocolate.
Mexico Cultural Institute Chef Patricia Jinich will walk us through the colorful celebration as she talks about and demonstrates how to prepare tamales and Mexican Hot Chocolate.
A full dinner with drinks in the tradition of the holiday will be prepared by Chef Jinich.

Participants in this event will take home a packet of ingredients along with to-die-for recipes in a goodie bag to get them started in their own kitchens!

Patricia Jinich is the official Chef of The Mexico Cultural Institute . Her classes and food have been praised by the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Examiner. She is also a food writer out and blogs at patismexicantable.com
